Stefan Maus gives presentation Field Acceptance Criteria Based on ISCWSA Tool Error Models at Industry Steering Committee for Wellbore Survey Accuracy (ISCWSA) meeting in Long Beach. To assist quality control of raw Measurement While Drilling (MWD) data, QC thresholds for the Total Field, Dip and BtotalDip can be computed from the set of new Operator Wellbore Survey Group (OWSG) error tool codes. These QC thresholds, which will be computed by the upcoming releases of the MagVAR IFR and Global Calculators (link) can be used point-wise or for an entire well trajectory encompassing multiple sections with different tool codes.
